Co-operative Trust School in Top 100

Congratulations to West Hill Primary School in Devon on being ranked 89th in The Times Top 500 Schools in the Country!sue-nield

The ranking is based on the high percentage of Level 5s achieved by the school in the end of Key Stage 2 SATs for the past three years. West Hill is part of The SMILE Learning Trust formed in November 2013. The school’s achievements in all areas of the curriculum certainly demonstrate high expectations and aspirations across the board, including putting those all-important co-operative values at the heart of the curriculum. It’s great to see a co-operative trust school high up in the League Tables, demonstrating unequivocally the rigour and drive of co-operative trust schools in all aspects of school improvement. There is no question that our co-operative schools are up there with the very best.

The Co-operative Challenge

There is also no doubt about the rigour, expectation and drive of the Co-operative Challenge which can fully support your school in its improvement journey, taking you from your unique starting point to achieve the outcomes you and your school community wish to achieve. Based on Edison Learning and the NAHT Aspire School Improvement programmes which are founded on high quality research into the features of highly effective schools, the Co-operative Challenge offers a refreshing and holistic approach to making your school and your pupils the best that they can be.  For further details, please contact the Co-operative College’s School Improvement Co-ordinator, Sue Nield on: 07422 972540; sue.nield@co-op.ac.uk
