Nominations are invited for the Discovering Democracy Award.
You can nominate your school if you feel it has done great work in ‘engaging pupils and getting everyone involved in democratic processes’ and equips its students with the skills and knowledge to play a full and active part in society.
The award is open to secondary schools that create a positive culture of citizenship and democracy at a young age and help develop youth participation in society, whether that is voting for their representatives on the school council or getting involved in social action campaigns.
The award, which is funded by the Cabinet Office and supported by the government, is judged by a panel of young people and sector experts.
