Peacehaven students raise £1,000 for the James Daniel’s Memorial

PeacehavenYear 10 and 11 Duke of Edinburgh’s award students at Peacehaven Community School, a co-operative Trust in East Sussex, were delighted to present a cheque to the sum of £1,000 to Mrs Daniels and Matt for the James Daniel’s Memorial Fund.

Students worked hard to raise funds by creating and running stalls at the Star Bazaar which was held for three evenings before the school play. This local and deserving charity holds a special place in the hearts of all connected with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Peacehaven as they provided the school with the means to purchase some fantastic kit – tents, cooking stoves compasses etc. , without which the school would not have been able to run the Bronze Award so smoothly.
