The students took part in various workshops about how to engage young people in Manchester and why their voices are important. They delivered part of the workshop called Influencing Decision Making, talking about our student council at Whalley Range 11-18 High School, how students apply and what differences they have made and the decisions they have been involved in. They focused some of this around the co-operative value of Democracy. They were also lucky enough to meet with Anne Longfield, OBE, Childrens Commissioner for England.

Mrs Davies, staff lead for the Student Council said:

“Once again these girls have made me incredibly proud. Their confidence and professionalism when delivering their presentation, and then taking questions from the floor was amazing! They truly are fantastic ambassadors for Whalley Range 11-18 High School.”
