Young Co-operative’s Sports Day stall success

fULSTONThe Young Co-operative at Fulston Manor, a co-operative business and enterprise college in Sittingbourne, Kent, together with Year 10 Vice Prefects, ran the most successful refreshments stall to date during the school’s recent Sports Day.

Prepaid tickets and orders helped to boost the profit to £154, which will be donated to The Quays, a Sittingbourne charity which helps local homeless people. One of their service users, David, has visited the school on a number of occasions and shared his life story with various year groups.

Sarah Palmer, Young Co-operatives Co-ordinator, said: “He has been an inspiration on how to turn your life around and it is our way of saying thank you to him by donating to The Quays.”
